Redesigned. Reimagined. Recreated.
With an open floor plan on the Main Level the design had a constant color palette running through it. We used a neutral tone on tone color scheme that we layered with fabrics, patterns and textures allowing the spaces to stay fresh. We used design elements throughout the spaces that enhance the natural architecture of the home, while providing gorgeous design details. Some of these elements include metallic wallcovering in the Dining Room and Sitting Room, additional wall sconce light fixtures in the Sitting Room, painted board and batton wall treatments in the Home Office, and Girl’s Bedroom on the Upper Level, dramatic 22′ window treatments in the Greatroom, and custom cornice boards made especially for each window in the home.
The Lower Level was an unfinished area, that was transformed into a functional space for a variety of activities: work, play, exercise, and entertainment. We created a separate Exercise Room complete with custom barn doors to close the space off if needed, along with a children’s play and crafting area open to the adult entertainment spaces. These adult spaces included a Home Theatre area with custom shelving built in beneath the movie screen, the movie screen sits on a wall of natural stacked stone and is flanked with wall sconce light fixtures. At a convenient arms reach is a Wet Bar/Kitchen with ample storage and counter space for goodies, and cold drinks.
When this home was built and furnished in 2008 color palettes and design trends were quite different. We took this residence boasting of over 5,000 sq ft. and transformed it into a transitional, timeless, comfortable home perfect for living and entertaining.
